LS telcom participation to Radiocommunication Workshop organized by the Nigerian Ministry of Aviation
The Honorable Minister of Federal Ministry of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika, instructed Zest Associates for the organization of a capacity development radiocommunication workshop designed for the aviation sector with theme : Usable and Sufficient Spectrum for Aeronautical and Meteorological Systems.
The workshop was attended by more than 25 delegates from the following organization: Federal Ministry of Aviation, Nigerian_ Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET)
Zest Associates invited LS telcom to participate in this workshop as expert in efficient use of spectrum to provide highlights on how mitigating interference in Aviation band and present its experiences in the aviation sector including the use of NavAid Drone for the calibration of ILS subsystem.
LS telcom was represented locally by Laurent UGUEN, Sales Director of LS telcom France, he was assisted remotely by experts based in Germany: Philipp Abel, Head of the product development of spectrum monitoring solution and Luc Haeberlé, head of Colibrex, a fully owned-subsidiary of LS telcom specialized in drone-based RF measurement.
The lively and interactive discussions anchored by Obiora OFFOR, Partner, Zest Associates, allowed the participants to better understand how to implement the concepts, the methodologies and the solutions on how to plan, map, guard and troubleshoot radio spectrum usage around airport.
